Current compatibility
What this beta accepts
Selected pages are copied in source order. Conservative checks prevent interactive document features from being silently discarded.
| Input feature | Current behavior | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Standard PDFs | Accepted | Requested pages are copied into one new document. |
| Password encryption | Rejected | No password handling in this beta. |
| Forms and signatures | Rejected | Avoids broken fields and misleading signatures. |
| Source metadata | Not copied | The result receives a clean PigPDF output record. |
| Bookmarks, page labels, links, annotations and attachments | Rejected | These structures are not rebuilt safely after page changes yet. |

Questions and limits
Do selected pages leave this device?
No file content is sent by this tool. PDF.js renders the page grid and a dedicated browser worker creates the new document. The processing path is covered by an automated egress test.
Can I select a continuous range?
Yes. Select one page and then Shift-click another page. Keyboard users can move focus with the arrow keys and press Space to toggle pages.
Does extraction change the original PDF?
No. PigPDF creates a new PDF containing the selected pages. The source file remains unchanged.
What happens to metadata and bookmarks?
Source Title, Author, Subject and Keywords are not copied. PDFs with bookmarks, page labels, links, annotations, attachments or document actions are rejected before output instead of being changed silently.
